Attorney Beth Roland is passionate about ensuring the dignity and independence of Florida’s senior and disabled population, and about educating the public about guardianship and its less restrictive alternatives. Beth understands firsthand the unique difficulties experienced by the "sandwich generation" - she navigates daily the many logistical and emotional challenges associated with raising teenagers while overseeing her father’s health and safety.
Beth has been practicing law since 1992. She is experienced in all areas of Elder Law, with her current focus being on her guardianship practice. Beth earned her Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Sweet Briar College. She was recognized in 2020 by Florida Attorney General, Ashley Moody, and in 2019 by Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis, for her expertise in advocating on behalf of Florida’s most vulnerable populations. In 2021 she was awarded the prestigious The Florida Bar President’s Pro Bono Service Award for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, which was preceded by the following: 2018 Florida Statewide Guardian ad Litem Office’s Excellence in Advocacy Award for Children with Special Needs, 2019 Florida Statewide Guardian ad Litem Office’s Children’s Champion Award, and 2020 Florida Statewide Guardian ad Litem Office & Appellate Practice Section of The Florida Bar’s Rising to the Challenge to Provide Pro Bono Service Award.
